Ksi Lisms LNG

The Ksi Lisims LNG site was deliberately chosen by Nisga’a Nation to be away from fishing and hunting areas that are
mportant to the Nisga’a.

Fishing by construction and operations workers while on shift will be strictly prohibited in waterways at the Project site. Where project activities result in impacts to fish habitat, the project will develop new habitat.

The Ksi Lisims LNG project aims to be one of the world’s lowest-emission LNG facilities, targeting net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030 through electrification and innovative carbon reduction technologies.

The Project will uphold industry standard practices for inspection and maintenance including regular maintenance of machinery and equipment, and completing annual emissions testing.

Where traffic impacts are identified, we will work to ensure they are clearly communicated, and that the necessary signage is in place to keep community members safe.

Coast Pilots will board the LNG carrier at Triple Island and will continue with the vessel to and from the site to manage additional marine traffic.
New aids to Navigation will be established in consultation with the Canadian Coast Guard.

The safety of local communities is our top priority.
When large numbers of workers are anticipated, the Project will provide buses to transport workers to site and reduce highway use.

The facility is remote, leaving little to no opportunity for community interaction.
